• qpkg – Query Package, can list installed packages / versions, show the files belonging to a package, find the package that owns a file on the system.

• etcat – Portage Information Extractor, meant for ‘power users’, can tell information about packages, like which use flags effect it.

• euse – Command Line Use Flag Editor, quick way to make changes to use flags. (ufed is much nicer)
