Why I Use Gentoo

• I originally switched from Red Hat to LFS (Linux From Scratch) because I wanted more control over my system.

• LFS gets difficult to manage with the addition (and removal) of packages.

• Gentoo provides the management features I missed, while letting me keep enough control over the system.

• I really like the new init system.
